I am excited to share that our Beachwood Department of Fire-Rescue is offering a new residential lockbox program that will expedite emergency access into homes and reduce potential property damage caused by forced entry.
Often times in emergency situations, individuals are not able to open their door. The lockbox program will offer a faster and less costly solution than breaking down a door or window to help victims.
Residents who choose to opt-in to this program will pay a one-time $30 fee for a small, secure metal box which they will hang over their front door. The box is locked by a unique key that is accessible exclusively by Beachwood Fire Department and only in the event of an emergency.
Residents interested in purchasing a lockbox should contact the Beachwood Fire Department at 216.292.1965. An application and release form will be required, along with a house key to be placed inside your lockbox.
Please consider taking advantage of this program that helps our emergency responders help you faster. In an emergency, every second counts.
