Another big residential project is bound for Beachwood, but this one is geared to the older set. Moreover, it's proposed for no less a location than Chagrin Highlands Corporate Center.
Through Beachwood Senior Living LLC, the Rose Senior Living unit of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., paid $3.45 million July 5 for 10 acres on the South Green Road section of Chagrin Highlands, according to Cuyahoga County land records.
The name should be familiar because Rose Senior Living opened a resort-style apartment complex last spring in Avon at 33200 Health Campus Boulevard. In both cases, the land sellers were affiliates of Westlake-based Jacobs Real Estate Services LLC.
Rose Senior Living is a unit of Edward Rose & Sons, a large builder and apartment owner based in Bloomfield Hills.
Rose has secured Beachwood approvals to construct 174 suites in a 200,000-square-foot building on the site, according to the City of Beachwood Building Department, but has not yet filed for a building permit.
Look for lots of landscaping and amenities at the project, for the complexes typically feature a spa/salon, fitness studio, indoor garden arboretum, café, restaurant, pub, general store, private dining, outdoor gardens, a putting green, a shuffle board court and walking paths.
