Posted on August 7, 2019 at 2:26 PM by Mayor Martin S. Horwitz

Beachwood Boredom-Busters logoWe were sorry to miss everyone due to the cancellation of our August 6 National Night Out event. The outdoor nature of the activities meant we couldn't move it all inside when the inclement weather arrived. We'll look forward to hosting that event in 2020.

In the meanwhile, mark your calendars for our 20th annual Honkin' Haulin' Hands-on Trucks on September 15 from Noon - 3:00 PM: all the police, fire and service trucks will be on hand plus a medevac (medical evacuation) helicopter, too! Now, let's look ahead to this week.

THURSDAY, Aug. 8

2:00 – 3:15: Poolside Stories at the Beachwood Family Aquatic Center: enjoy a family story time during the rest periods at 2:00 and 3:00 PM.

ALL WEEKEND (Friday Aug. 9 – Sunday Aug. 11)

The Gathering Place has a “Gambler’s Sale” this weekend. Prices on Friday will be discounted 50%; Saturday, 60%; Sunday, 75%! How long will you wait to get that item you’ve been watching? Don’t miss out!

WEDNESDAY, Aug. 14

7:00 – 8:00 PM: Come to the Beachwood Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library and unwind to the beautiful music of the Doan Brook Trio. This woodwind ensemble will present classical music while telling a personal immigration story. The trio’s mission is to raise awareness of social justice issues through fact-based, enriching programs that have a personal connection. Free & open to the public but you must register in advance.

See you in Beachwood!
