WEDNESDAY, Sept. 18

3:00 – 5:00 PM: Visit the Beachwood Branch (25501 Shaker Blvd.) of the Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL) to meet their trained homework mentors and learn how your K-8 child can benefit from free after-school homework help Mondays – Thursdays! More information is available online

This free with registration event will feature complimentary appetizers and cocktails, plus a preview of their new pet-friendly menu.

THURSDAY, Sept. 19

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Eats and Meets at the parking lot behind The Orlean Company (23875 Commerce Park #140) features the terrific “A Slice of Pizzazz” food truck today! Presented by The Orlean Company and the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce.

7:00 – 8:45 PM: Meet the candidates for the upcoming School Board election at a meet and greet and Q&A tonight at the CCPL Beachwood Branch. If you can't make it this week, The League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland will host a Beachwood Candidate Forum on Thursday, October 10 at 7:00 PM at Beachwood High School (25100 Fairmount Blvd.), which will feature candidates for Beachwood City Council and the Beachwood Board of Education.


SUNDAY, Sept. 22

9:00 – Noon: RESIDENT SHRED DAY! Bring up to 12 blue grocery bags or 6 banker’s boxes to be shredded on-site at the Beachwood Community Center parking lot (25325 Fairmount Blvd.) for no charge. Proof of Beachwood residency required. Habitat for Humanity will also be on-site for donations of building supplies, etc. 

Barkwood grand opening2:00 – 4:00 PM: BARKWOOD GRAND OPENING! If you haven’t already registered your dog for Barkwood, visit our Community Services Department this week at City Hall (25325 Fairmount Blvd.) and get your key fob! Only pre-registered dogs will be granted Barkwood access at our Grand Opening, which will also feature a pet caricaturist, doggy swag bags, and more! Parking will be at Mandel JDS (26500 Shaker Blvd.). Beachwood Police will be on-hand to ensure safe street crossing by pedestrians and canines. Barkwood is located at Beachwood City Park East, which is east of Richmond Road between Shaker Blvd. eastbound & westbound. This event will happen rain or shine.
