Black History Month Celebration

Celebrate Black History Month in Beachwood! 
The city has partnered with Beachwood Arts Council and the Cuyahoga County Public Library Beachwood Branch to offer a variety of programs throughout the month of February. Save the date and plan to be there!

Celebrating Black History through Creative Expression: 
Open through Feb. 12, Beachwood Art Gallery
Artwork by Jerome White, Gary R. Williams and W. Michael Winston. Artists' reception on Sunday, January 22nd from 1-2:30 PM.

Djapo Cultural Arts Institute: Feb. 5, 2-3 PM, Community Center
African singing, dancing and drums. Part of BAC’s Sunday Sounds series.

Black History Stories & Songs: Feb. 7, 4-4:45 PM, Beachwood Library
Join Miss Donna the storyteller as she shares African-American history and culture. For students in grades K-5. Call 216-831-6868 to register.

Black History Cultural Experience: Feb. 8, 4-7 PM, Community Center
The tastes, sounds and more from local African-American owned businesses.

Art Explorers: Feb. 9, 4-4:45 PM, Beachwood Library
Open to grades K-5. Hear about the life of African-American artist Faith Ringgold and get inspired to create your own work of art. Call 216-831-6868 to register.

The TREES Book Discussion: Feb. 15, 2-3 PM, Beachwood Library
