New Fire Station Positions Beachwood for Future; Tradition
of Excellent Services Continues

Beachwood is positioning its safety services for a strong future with a new fire station that will offer residents and businesses superior service for decades to come. Beachwood is currently served by two fire stations, one of which is 44 years old.

The planned replacement station, to be located at the northeast corner of Richmond Road and Park East Drive, will be a vast improvement. Click here for more detail.

Beachwood Family Aquatic Center Passes on Sale Now; New Discounts for Seniors

In less than two months one of our community’s greatest assets will open its gates. The Beachwood Family Aquatic Center will open for Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-29. The full season runs daily June 3 through August 15, and weekends through September 4.

Memberships are on sale at City Hall Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Beat the rush and get your passes early. Please bring proof of residency.

NEW! Seniors will receive a 50% discount on memberships, or a rate of just $25 a season. If you are applying for a senior membership, please bring documentation showing you are at least 60 years of age.

Hydrant Flushing Scheduled for Late April

Beachwood Fire Department will be conducting hydrant flushing in late April. This is an important maintenance process for community safety. Your water will likely not be affected, but please be on the lookout for signs on your street. Should you encounter rusty water, run cold water until it runs clear.

Save the Date - First Annual Beachwood Fall Festival
Sunday, October 8

Please save the date for our first annual Fall Festival on Sunday, October 8. This event will be a community collaboration, presented in partnership with the City, Beachwood Schools and our Chamber of Commerce. You can expect fun for all ages including games, crafts, food trucks and live music.

We have scheduled the event in coordination with Beachwood High School Homecoming to capitalize on the positive community energy of the weekend.  The Fall Festival will
take the place of Family Fun Day. Stay tuned for details this summer.

Spring Cleaning? Hazardous Household Waste
Round-Up and Shred Day

As you’re spring cleaning, a reminder that Beachwood residents are invited to safely and responsibly dispose of hazardous household waste and personal documents at two events coming up in May.

Monday, May 15 through Saturday, May 20 we encourage residents to dispose of old oil-based paint, pesticides, driveway sealant and other such hazardous household materials. Please bring your items, along with proof of residency to the Beachwood Service Department between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

On Sunday, May 21, we invite you to bring old personal documents, mail and files to be securely shredded and recycled. This free service for residents will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine, at the Beachwood Community Center Parking Lot. Please bring proof of residency. Limit of 12 blue bags or 6 bankers boxes per household.
