Namaste! Free Yoga and Tai Chi at Beachwood City Park

Relax your mind and strengthen your body while enjoying the natural beauty of Beachwood’s City Park. Thanks to a partnership between Beachwood Historical Society, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture and the City of Beachwood, free yoga and tai chi is available to the public on Saturdays and Sundays in July at the pavilion in Beachwood City Park West. Yoga will be held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to noon. Tai Chi will be held on Sundays from 10 to 11 a.m. Details on classes and instructors can be found here.

Dory would need a reminder, so we figured you might too. Join us for a FREE movie and FREE popcorn under the stars at Beachwood Community Center Parking Lot on Friday, July 21 at dusk.

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, neighbors and friends.
In the event of inclement weather, the film will be shown inside Beachwood Community Center.

All Welcome to Salute Residents Who Have Lived in Beachwood 50+ Years

Each year, we hold a celebration to honor those residents who have lived in Beachwood for 50 or more years. This year, we are proud to honor more than a dozen residents.

The festivities will take place Tuesday, July 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Family Aquatic Center. The Summer Concert Series will follow immediately with a performance by the Dan Zola Orchestra.

Senior Police

Free Crime Prevention Program for Seniors Starts Next Week

Beachwood Police Department is accepting applications for the Senior Police Academy. During this free program, individuals 50 years or older will learn about real-life crime prevention and receive “hands-on” experience with the help of knowledgeable instructors. Participants will learn self-defense, CPR, safety and more.

The program takes place on Wednesdays from
1 to 3 p.m. at Beachwood City Hall from July 19 through September 13. To register for this free program (must be 50 years or older), please call 216.595.3733.
