Beachwood Community Theater is turning up the spotlight this fall with its youth production of Grease Kids: The Musical, in partnership with the director Julie Matthews. Open to performers ages 8–16, this high-energy program invites both Beachwood residents and non-residents in surrounding communities to sing, dance, and channel their inner T-Birds and Pink Ladies for an unforgettable on-stage experience.
Rehearsals will run Wednesdays, September 10 through October 29, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Beachwood Community Center. The show will culminate in two live performances on Saturday, November 1, and Sunday, November 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Beachwood Middle School.
All registered participants will audition and receive a role in the production. With great parts available for both boys and girls — particularly boys interested in singing — this is the perfect opportunity to step into the spotlight regardless of experience.
“Grease is a timeless classic that gets kids excited about performing, while teaching them confidence and stage skills that they’ll carry with them for years to come,” said Julie Matthews, Director. “We can’t wait to see our talented youth performers bring the energy and fun of Rydell High to life on stage this fall!”
