This service is not meant to supply all transportation needs, but is a supplemental service. Rides are available for medical appointments, shopping, banking, and social / recreational activities. There is no guarantee of the van's availability for requested dates and times. View our Beachwood Community Transportation Brochure (PDF).

Register for Service: Call Shelly Drenski at 216.292.1971 to register. One-time registration is required to determine eligibility before utilization of a van service. The City of Beachwood reserves the right to determine eligibility.

Service Area & Hours: This service is provided to destinations within the eastern suburbs of Cuyahoga County and the University Circle area. Offered Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4 PM.

Reserve Your Ride: To reserve a ride, call 216-595-3709. Provide the following information when calling (to make a request you must leave all of the following): your name, address, phone number, date requested, destination, address of destination, phone number of destination, time of appointment, time for return, and use of a wheelchair/walker/escort.

As soon as you know you need a ride, give us a call. The answering machine on Van Request Line is the only way to request or cancel a ride. Our staff retrieves the requests throughout the day.

A phone call will be placed to you telling whether we can or cannot accommodate your request within the week. The day prior to your confirmed ride, a staff member will call you with a pickup time. Please be ready to be picked up 10 minutes before your scheduled time. The driver does not leave the van to look for riders. You need to watch for the van’s arrival. Drivers are not permitted to pick up unscheduled residents.
